MEDICAL MISSION
INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS
VENEZUELA
Working together to battle the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, we sent our instruments into the hands of IMC's first responders, bringing medical attention to communities in need.
LETTER TO ACTION
Dear MDF Instruments,
Some 7 million people in the country of Venezuela require humanitarian aid, while approximately 3.7 million people are suffering from undernourishment and 2.8 million are in need of health assistance. Health systems are strained, and reduced access to medicines has increased the risk of sickness and death. Preventable diseases like tuberculosis, diphtheria, measles and malaria have resurfaced.
International Medical Corps has deployed a team to Venezuela to work with local partners and the international community to identify the most pressing needs and strengthen relief efforts. Our team continues to visit and assess needs at health facilities and hospitals, finding extreme shortages of qualified medical staff and medications, deteriorating infrastructure, and damaged or missing medical equipment.
We are committed to continuing this assistance, and we stand ready to surge our relief efforts in Venezuela as access is allowed.

COHECF
Sometimes it can be hard to give what you want to the world, without the basic necessities of that goal. Dr. Asomba Tobias had a vision when he started COHECF and limited resources didn't stop him. To help Dr. Asomba achieve his goals, MDF donated stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, reflex hammers and penlights to COHECF.
